So excited to receive my copy of Facepaint - Happy Abandon’s debut LP. I played all the keyboard and piano parts and contributed much orchestral/choral arranging for this record, and had the privilege of conducting and arranging live strings for the album with the incredible Camille Faulkner. To Peter, Jake, and Justin - I am very, very proud of what we made, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this experience. To the rest of you - buy the album! It’s good! I don’t have anything poignant to say. I guess what I want to say is that you’re not obligated to save anyone, but you’d be surprised how much good it actually does to reach out to someone suffering from and/or perpetuating an addiction of any kind. If someone seems lost the way Amy was lost, standing by and hoping and watching isn’t enough. The bystander effect is real.
Tonight I got to see @nanceraps live for the first time. It was absolutely fantastic - this is a picture of an extremely engaging and entertaining performer, and this very proud producer! I can’t wait for everyone to hear our record.
